General News
Happy Breeder’s Cup Eve! A week of transition for our horses as most were on the move from Monmouth Park to their new homes for the late fall and winter. Also, some race results and works as well. Please mark Sunday December 12th on your calendars for our end of year/ holiday get together. (Details to follow in the coming weeks.)
Horse by Horse News
- Street Facts had his debut last Saturday at Delaware Park and finished a hard charging 4th. An impressive start over a sloppy track. He broke alertly from the gate and was rated behind the speed up front finding himself about 10 lengths back at the top of the stretch. He began to pick up speed roaring down the stretch to close the gap and finish just a length from 2nd. and galloped out to pass the horses ahead of him after the finish line. He is bred to be a classic distance horse and did just what we hoped for in his debut. With some more experience and a longer race he should really excel. We are very happy with the result even though he did not win because of the way that he finished.
- Fire's Finale ran at Penn National last night after stalking the leader with a very fast pace in the 1 1/16 race but just flattened out in the stretch to finish 4th about 6 lengths behind. He gave a good effort in this two turn race and should be ready to come back strong in the next few weeks.
- Tessa P is entered in a 10 horse field Friday night at Penn National. She has been training well and gets top rider Julio Hernandez in the irons to try to break her maiden. She is 6/1 on the early line and should be very competitive in this slot. Good luck to all group 66 members and our partner Ralph Pastore.
- U Kant Whip It also doing very well and will be entered in mid-November at either Belmont Park or Aqueduct to try to break his maiden. Details to follow when available.

Kenwood Racing Stable Notes for October 28, 2021
Horse by Horse News
- A busy week of racing with a win a 3rd and a 4th to show from it. First, Fire's Finale ran in the 100K Danzig Stakes at Penn National Friday night. He finished a hard trying 4th after being shut off when trying to make a move to the outside at the top of the stretch. Tyler Conner had to take hold and bring him back to the inside to get past horses and he rallied into 4th position just missing 3rd by a neck. He would not have caught the very talented Beren who won by 5 ½ lengths but with a better trip he certainly could have earned the place position. He has now gone to Penn National with Trainer Mark Salvaggio to train for an Allowance race in early November.
- Portal One made it 2 straight on Monday October 25th at Parx. He went gate to wire with a very impressive performance under top rider Frankie Pennington, but was claimed from us in a 3-way shake. Congratulations to our Active Racing, Group 71 and our partner Ralph Pastore.
- Cup Of Life finished 3rd at Parx on Tuesday October 26th on an extremely sloppy track. Rider Frankie Pennington tried to get her to the lead but had to sit off the pace where she took a lot of mud into her face leaving her very uncomfortable. But to her credit, she persevered and finished well. She has also gone to Penn National to train with Mark Salvaggio for another try to break her maiden next month.
- Kant Whip It also doing very well and is one or two more works to being entered in a race.

- Street Facts also good and moving forward with his racing debut coming Saturday October 30th in race 6 at Delaware Park. It is a 6 furlong Maiden Special Weight with an 8 horse field. He gets Mychal Sanchez in the irons to try to break his maiden at first asking. Good luck to all Group 69 and our Partner Ralph Pastore.

- Tessa P fine out of her race and we are looking at some races in early November for her next try.
- Life On the Edge doing great and was entered at both Laurel Park and Parx for this weekend, but came up as an also eligible in overflow fields at both venues. We are looking at a race at Penn National for her to enter next.
- Charge Account and Tracy Ann's Legacy returned to Monmouth Park after their short stay at Sunset Meadow Farm. They both received some well-deserved time out of the stall and will be moved shortly to Belmont Park and Palm Meadows, respectively.
- The Ghost of N Y is good at Sunset Meadow Farm and enjoying some paddock time. He is getting a brief rest before going to Penn National with trainer Mark Salvaggio next Monday.
- Our Liam’s Map Colt and Runhappy Yearling are both well at at Manuden Farm in Ocala.

Kenwood Racing Stable Notes for October 21, 2021
Horse by Horse News
Another busy week coming up with 3 new entries and horses on the move.
- Fire's Finale will run in the 100K Danzig Stakes at Penn National tomorrow. He has had 3 consecutive bullet works and gets top local rider Tyler Conner, who rode him in his last race (2nd), back in the irons. It is a tough group of 7 including multiple stakes winner Beren and should be a very exciting race. With his best effort the razor sharp Fire should be very competitive here. Good luck to Group 56 and our Partner Ralph Pastore.
- Portal One is looking to make it 2 straight on Monday October 25th at Parx. He comes back quickly after an impressive win at Laurel Park on Oct 10th. Top rider Frankie Pennington will look to get a comfortable trip in what should be a large field of 12 and should go off as one of the favorites. Please let us know if you are planning on attending.
- Good luck to our Active Racing Group, Group 71 and our partner Ralph Pastore. Cup Of Life is entered in the 2nd race at Parx on Tuesday October 26th. She also gets top rider Frankie Pennington and at 7/2 is the morning line favorite in a field of 10. She fits well with this group and with a good trip should be right in the mix. Please let us know if you plan on attending. Good luck to Group 68 and our partner Ralph Pastore.
- U Kant Whip It also doing very well at Penn National and is very close to being entered in a race.

- Street Facts also good and moving forward with his racing debut coming soon.

- Life On the Edge doing well after her impressive win at The Meadowlands and should be ready to go again near the end of the month.
- Charge Account and Tracy Ann's Legacy have returned to Monmouth Park from their short stay at Sunset Meadow Far. They both received some well deserved time out of the stall and are looking great. Trainer Kelly Breen wanted to see them train for a few days before he makes the trip to California for the Breeder’s Cup.
- The Ghost of N Y is good at Sunset Meadow Farm and enjoying some paddock time. He is getting a brief rest before going to Penn National with trainer Mark Salvaggio. We are still planning on going to the farm to see these 3 on Sunday October 24th around noon. If you are able to attend please let me know ASAP so we can notify Jeannie and Ken.
- Our Liam’s Map Colt and Runhappy Yearling are both well at at Manuden Farm in Ocala. See link for the video courtesy of Jaqui De Meric of our Runhappy colt with a rider up after being broken. So far both are doing great in their initial training as racehorses.

Horse by Horse News
A lot of good news with 2 wins, a lot of potential entries and some nice workouts as well.
- Life On the Edge won last Friday night at the Meadowlands with Paco Lopez sitting a dream trip just off of the speed, taking the lead at the top of the stretch to finish ahead by over a length. This hard trying filly finally was able to get her preferred track conditions and showed she was up to the challenge. Congratulations to all Group 50 and the Kelly Breen barn for this nice win. She came out of the race well and should be ready to go again shortly
- Not to be outdone Portal One won going away on Sunday at Laurel Park under a terrific ride by Mychel Sanchez. He broke well and sat a few lengths behind the leaders then at the top of the stretch burst through along the rail to take command and win by a widening margin. Congratulations to our Active Racing Club now with 3 of the 4 horses posting wins, Group 71 and our Partner Ralph Pastore and his family. Looking forward for more good things ahead with a possible entry at the end of October.

Kenwood Racing Stable Notes for September 23, 2021
General News
Back from the Keeneland September yearling sale and celebrating the purchase of Hip #2291, a truly striking colt by the popular young sire, champion sprinter Run Happy. This yearling’s young dam is a sister to the major multiple Stakes winner Florida One, from the family of broodmare of the year Oatsee (Dam of Preakness winner and sire Shackleford among other stakes winners). Most of all, he’s a good-looking, sound individual, raised at the famed Claiborne farm in Kentucky. This group is almost certain to sell out very quickly.
A big weekend ahead at Monmouth Park with 5 different entries over the next 2 days. All are welcome to join us to celebrate another wonderful season on Saturday where we will have 2 private Parterre Suites all afternoon with some complimentary food and drinks (as well as our regular Clubhouse finish line Box seats). All Group members are welcome but Please RSVP if you are planning to attend so we can arrange space for you.

If that is the case, then she will be entered Saturday for a turf race on Thursday, September 30th at Delaware Park. She is really ready to run as you can see from her last Workout below on Sept 17th.

- Fire's Finale had a great work this morning at Monmouth Park. Some comments from Robb, “Yes, fast, but more important easily and in hand. This horse really telegraphs how he is doing with his works (not all do). When he works quick and easily, he’s sitting on a big race. Recall last year after not winning his first 6 starts (close but no wins), he broke his maiden at Parx. We gave him time between races off the maiden win; he worked exceptionally well, came into the Pa. Nursery stakes doing super, and won going away from dead last to capture 2yo Pa. bred champion honors. We are pointing him for a $100,000 stake at Penn National the 3rd week in Oct. with a similar program and he’s right on target for a big effort. Never any guarantees in any race with any horse, but the way he’s training now he’ll come into it with a real shot.”

Horse by Horse News
- Fire's Finale couldn’t have run harder or better this evening in a very tough allowance event at Penn National, finishing a very game 2nd, beaten about 1 length for the win while over 5 lengths ahead of the rest of the field. He sat a dream trip in 3rd under jockey Tyler Connor, made a sustained run in the stretch but just couldn’t get by the equally game winner, who withstood an early speed battle and refused to lose. The race was run in a sizzling fast time, 1:10.12 and showed Fire’s Finale is able to compete against quality horses in fast run races. It was very similar to the game 2nd he ran last time against state breds at Penn except this was tougher open company not restricted to state breds). While we all want to see him back in the winner’s circle, he’s in great form now and at this level as a Pa. bred picks up nice checks anytime he hits the board (almost $7,000 here for 2nd).
- Life On the Edge is shipping back from Penn National to Monmouth Park with Fire’s Finale this evening to run in a race on Saturday, September 18th. If the race does not go, we’ll have to return her to Penn National for a race there the following week, but we know her owners want to see her run at Monmouth Park where she had so much success last year and we are hoping the race goes for her on the 18th. If she runs well there she can stick around to run at The Meadowlands next month too. Turf racing gets tough to find around this time of year and she’s a better turf horse than a dirt horse, so we need to take any suitable spot we can find for her, but the goal is to run at Monmouth Park.
- Cup of Life runs Saturday in the first race at Monmouth Park. Comes into it off two good debut efforts, beaten just a length for the win when a very game third last time. Fits well with this group and we are looking for a big race from her here.
- The Ghost of N Y doing fine and an opportunity came up so we entered him for Sunday and the race went at Monmouth Park. It’s a large 11 horse field, but he’s trained well for this and gets top rider Jose Ferrer, who has the aggressive riding style we hope will fit this horse. The Ghost of N Y lagged early in both his starts and came running late. Hopefully Jose will get him in the game a little earlier. If Jose can do that we expect him to run well here.
- Charge Account & Tracy Ann's Legacy will both receive a brief and richly deserved vacation at Sunset Meadow Farm, about 30-40 days turned out in a nice little paddock to enjoy the fresh air and then back to training. Both have been major success stories for us, racing hard and well for over a year now without a break in training while winning multiple allowance races and earning major $. Both came out of their recent starts none the worse for wear fortunately but both appear tired and not as sharp in their last couple of starts as they were previously. That’s a signal, especially with good, money-making winning horses like these, that they need a little freshening. This is the ideal time to do it, while the weather is good, and they should be back with Kelly Breen before the end of Oct. Anyone who would like to visit them at the farm once they arrive is welcome to contact George to make arrangements
- Our newest horse R Goodtime Charlie training well for Group 73 and our Active Racing Group. He has been in the money 9 out of 11 races for his career including 2 wins and we are looking forward to some good things with him. There may be a race for him coming up on closing weekend, September 25th at Monmouth Park.
- Overdressed ok out of her last start, another excellent effort when a fast-closing 3rd at Monmouth Park on September 4th. This super consistent filly has two thirds and a win in just a few weeks’ time since being claimed by us in July.
- Portal One is fine out of his last race at Monmouth Park after being pulled up by Jockey Nik Juarez after feeling him take an awkward step on the Sloppy sealed track. If all continues to go well there is a race on September 25th that he may ready for.
- Street Facts is training well and is expected to have his first timed work since returning from the farm next week.
- Tessa P and U Kant Whip It are doing both excellent at Penn National with trainer Mark Salvaggio. Both should be ready for their first timed works since returning from the farm shortly also.
- Lisa Limon and family all doing well at Hidden Brook Farm. Her Liam’s Map Colt is ready for the September Yearling Sale and her weanling filly by Palace Malice is really thriving on the farm.
