Horse by Horse News

  • To begin, here’s a picture of our old friend PANGO enjoying his retirement with his friend Goldie.  We are very pleased that he has transitioned nicely to a riding horse for his new owner Callee after his Kenwood Racing career has ended.

  • Tracy Ann's Legacy had an impressive work on Friday February 11 at Palm Meadows and is entered in the 9th race this Saturday Feb 19th at Gulfstream Park going 5 furlongs on the turf for a large $61K purse.  She gets Paco Lopez aboard from post 7 to try to wire this field of 8.  She has been ready to run for several weeks but races came off the turf and she was scratched.  The weather looks to be good right up to race time so we are hoping she gets to show off her stuff.

  • Chess Not Checkers and Pearlintherough both had nice efforts last weekend at Gulfstream Park with a 1st and a 3rd for our ARC22 Group.  It was a nice start for the Active Racing Club as both horses hit the board for some nice purse $’s.  Both were claimed out of their races and we wish their new owners luck.  We are actively looking for some more quality claims to add to the stable.

  • Life On the Edge finished a hard trying 2nd int the 5th race on Tuesday February 8th at Penn National.  She gave her usual game effort but could just not get past the Winner.  She will race one more time before getting some R &R prior to the spring Turf Season.

  • The Ghost of N Y was a disappointing 6th on Wednesday at Penn National and we will be evaluating our next move for him in the coming days.

  • Fire's Finale has settled in nicely at Overbrook farm in Colts Neck (see pictures).  He will be getting a brief freshening before the spring season begins.

  • U Kant Whip It is doing well at Overbrook Farm in Colts Neck while getting some R & R before turf season this spring.

  • Liam’s Map Colt and our Runhappy Yearling are both doing excellent at at Manuden Farm in Ocala.

Nick de Meric of Manuden Farm says He’s delighted (his words) with both of our horses. The Liam’s Map colt worked really well again this week at the farm.  He will ship over in 2 weeks and see how he does on the OBS Polytrack.

Nick is equally pleased with our Runhappy colt. Said he’s “a big strapping colt who does everything I’ve asked him to”.

  • Lisa Limon and her Palace Malice filly both well at Hidden Brook Farm.  See picture of the young filly at Hidden Brook Farm.
