It was a slower than usual spring for Kenwood runners but things picked up quickly as the summer season began with two nice wins at our summer home base of Monmouth Park.

First up on June 18th, High Five Cotton sat just off the early speed under a picture perfect ride by Paco Lopez, took over the lead in deep stretch and won going away by just over a length at Monmouth Park. He was drawing away at the finish and galloped out well in front of the field. This is a nice horse who is finally coming into his own as a three year old. Congratulations to the large group of partners and co-owners who were on hand to celebrate on a beautiful Father’s Day.

Then on June 30th, 58 OG sat a great trip under a perfect ride, a close up 3^rd early much as High Five Cotton did in his recent win, and like High Five made a strong move in the stretch to win by ¾ of a length at Monmouth. A great way to end the first half of 2017! Congratulations to Kenwood owners and our partner, Wasabi Ventures stables!

With summer in full swing now, we have a lot of runners sitting on go for races in July, we're expecting a busy and profitible summer with lots more visits to the winner's circle.
