Three Arch Bay is a good example of how horses frequently require a little time and patience to show their best. After her first two starts, when she was 8th beaten 20 lengths in her debut on October 15th and 7th beaten 9 lengths in her 2nd start on November 18th, one can certainly understand how her owners would have felt like her had little hope of ever reaching the winner's circle. A well beaten, but improved 4th on December 9th was a step in the right direction and in her last four starts, threes were wild with a 3rd on January 7th, February 20th, March 10th and March 30th! Finally at Penn National on April 16th, she made the leap forward we were looking fo hitting the winner's circle after a furious charge from dead last to get up in the final stride after seemingly being hopelessly beaten inside the 1/8th pole. While not our most talented runner, she has now been on the board in every start in 2016 for Kenwood Racing.
