Kenwood Racing

Dan Ruggiero Jr., Kenwood Co-Owner and Triple Crown Member passed away on December 28, 2020.  Dan was a long time racing fan often telling stories of the old days when he used to spend the day with his father going to various NY tracks during the daytime then going to the Meadowlands at night.  Dan and his wife Virginia (Ginny) were at Monmouth Park virtually every weekend in the summer.  He named Kenwood Racing's That's History for his father.  Dan and Ginny have been Co-Owners since 2013.

Dan was also an Air Force veteran.  He and I worked together at Stryker Corporation for many years and when he retired I was glad to know that he and I would keep in touch through our love of horse racing in general and Kenwood in particular.  I knew Dan for over 32 years and he will be greatly missed.  I'm sure my first few times at Monmouth Park this summer will be bittersweet when I realize he won't be sitting next to me during the races.  Rest in peace my friend.
