Vibrant Spirit broke slowly, was pinched back shortly after the start and dropped back to dead last, then was 6 wide when making a huge run and finished an excellent closing 2nd despite all the trouble on July 2nd at Laurel Park. The winner shot to an early lead and won easily, but our filly was the one doing all the running at the end. The rider loved her, asked to ride her back and said she galloped out like a horse begging for more ground. Knowing she’s bred to go long and be better as she matures, this was an exceptionally promising debut, to start of the 2nd half of the year on a great note for us.

Of course one race, good or bad, does NOT tell the story with any horse, especially a young one in their debut but off this effort we have reason for confidence with this lovely filly by top sire Kitten's Joy. She's a full sister to a stakes winner of $230,000+ with a promising future ahead of her.
