Kenwood Racing closed out the Monmouth Park Meet in style last Saturday with a 1st and 2nd from three runners before a large crowd of Kenwood Racing Partners and Co-owners.  We had 2 Parterre Suites with food and drink as well as 4 Clubhouse boxes to accommodate the crowd which included our partner Ralph Pastore who owns 25% of the horses.

  • Overdressed ran a hard trying 2nd in the second race at Monmouth Park and was claimed from us. She ran 4 times for us and had a win, 2 seconds and a third. Not a bad record at all.
  • The Ghost of N Y ran in the fourth race at Monmouth Park and was not at his best, finishing a tired 8th, but has been fine for the last few days and should be ready to race again in a few weeks.
  • R Goodtime Charlie won the 10th race going away at Monmouth Park.  He was also claimed from us in a 9-way shake and won his only race for Kenwood Racing.  Congratulations to all who were able to join us for the day and have their picture taken in the Winner’s Circle and a special thanks to Trainer Kelly Breen and his staff for a great summer meet.
  • Fire’s Finale had a great work this morning and is training light out, very similar to last fall when he won the Nursery Stakes at Parx as a 2 year old.  He is being pointed to a $100 K Stakes at Penn National on October 22nd and we feel confident that he will be on the top  of his game for this one.  More details to come when available.
