General News

Sorry for the late release but a very busy week including an excellent seminar on Purchasing Yearlings last night by Robb.  Thanks to all who attended this very informative presentation, as we are looking forward to attending the Keeneland Yearling Sale in 2 weeks.  In addition, our Liam’s Map - Lisa Limon Colt is scheduled to be on the auction block Sunday September 19th at the sale.  You can view the Auction through the Keeneland Sales Website.

Horse by Horse News

  • We welcome our newest horse R Goodtime Charlie to the Kenwood Racing Stable for Group 73 and our Active Racing Group.  He is a 3 year old gelding who has been in the money 9 out of 11 races for his career including 2 wins.  We are looking forward to some good things with him.  There may be a race to enter on Saturday September 25th at Monmouth Park.
  • Overdressed is entered tomorrow Saturday in the 7th Race at Monmouth Park. It is a short field of 7 going 5 ½  furlongs on the dirt.  She is coming off a big win on August 15th with many Co-owners and our partner Ralph Pastore and his family in attendance.  She and rider Nik Juarez are looking to make it 2 in a row.   Good luck to our Active Racing Group and all of Group 70.
  • Charge Account  is entered for the Main Track Only in the Salvatore M. Debunda PTHA President's Cup Stakes on Monday September 6th  the 11th Race at Parx.  As of now, it does not look like the weather will take the race off the turf so if it remains on the grass she will not run.  We will send out notification for sure either way on Monday morning.  If she does not run Monday, there are a few other options in the next 2 weeks.
  • Fire's Finale is entered on Thursday September 9th in the 6th race at Penn National.  Top jockey Tyler Conner will be aboard in this 6 furlong Allowance with a short field of 6.  He is ready to go and really was full of himself yesterday in the barn.  Good luck to all Group 56 Co-owners.
  • Portal One is fine out of his last race at Monmouth Park, after being pulled up by Jockey Nik Juarez after feeling him take an awkward step on the Sloppy sealed track.  We applaud Nik for being cautious with him as the health of the horse is our primary concern.   After his next work, he will be thoroughly examined by the vet before being cleared to race.  If all goes as well, as we think it will, there is a race on September 25th that he may be entered in.
  • Tracy Ann's Legacy is training well after the long round trip to Colonial Downs in Virginia and may be entered for an Allowance sprint next Saturday September 11th.
  • Cup of Life also well after her hard trying 3rd last weekend at Monmouth Park.  There are several options for her in about 2 weeks at either Monmouth Park, Delaware Park or Laurel Park.
  • The Ghost of NY doing fine and we are looking at a possible entry for September 19th at Monmouth Park
  • Street Facts is doing well and will be ready for timed works soon.
  • Tessa P and U Kant Whip It are doing both excellent according to trainer Mark Salvaggio.  Tessa P will be ready for a timed work in about a week and U Kant Whip It a few days later.  Mark said “he has really come around now”
  • Life On the Edge  fine out of her race and may run back in 2 weeks at either Monmouth or Penn.
  • Adhwaa was claimed from us on Wednesday after finishing a tired 5th in the slop at Parx.  She earned over $100K for us in just over 1 year including winning an Allowance race in NY last winter.  Congratulations to all Group 60 Co-owners, who will be receiving a nice payout from her efforts.
  • .Lisa Limon and family all doing well at Hidden Brook Farm.  Her Liam’s Map Colt is ready for the September Yearling Sale.
