- Lisa Limon is Hip #1533, selling this Sunday at Keeneland, the sale will be live streamed on the Keeneland website. You can see it here. She ships in Friday from the farm, will be shown all of Saturday and sells early on Sunday.
- No good news on entries today. Solar’s race went, only problem is it had over 30 entries and he didn’t draw in. They did bring back the same race enter tomorrow for Sunday, there will still be 15-18 entries that didn’t get in today and only 12 can run, but hopefully this time he’ll get in. He’s doing excellent.
- Race for New Found Treasure at Penn National did not go and did not come back. Nothing in the book for her, we’ll keep looking. She’s doing fine, if she can handle the dirt at all she’ll be real tough when she runs next.
- Life On the Edge and Night of Idiots both good out of their races, both should be ready to run back around the end of the month.
- Rapstorerocks runs at Aqueduct tomorrow, if rain takes the race off the turf (a real possibility) we WILL run, although we’d much prefer to run on grass.
- ShimmyShimmy Shake also runs tomorrow at Penn National. She’s been training strongly since arriving at Penn and we are expecting a huge improvement here off her disappointing Monmouth Park races.
- Shake It Up Baby arrived yesterday at Palm Meadows to continue his training there with Kelly Breen this week from T-Square Stud in Ocala. We hope to have him ready to run at Gulfstream Park around the end of the year. Looks really good!
- Magic Musketier doing fine, had a nice work and there’s a good spot for him at Del Mar next week.
Remember all possible upcoming entries may be found here.
- Giuliana Vee good and ready to run back as soon as we can find a spot for her. There are races at Penn National next week and the week after if we can’t find anything for her at Aqueduct.
- No Good Deed training at Gulfstream Park, has had some treatments for stiffness and still not moving as well as we’d like, but no obvious problem.
- More Ice good out of an excellent work at Los Alamitos and should be ready to run at Del Mar, there’s a great race for him in 2 weeks, he’ll work again next week and as long as he comes out of it well will be entered. Ideally we’d like to get another work into him but this race is exactly the right spot for him so he’ll run if he’s doing as well as he is now.
- Bullion is doing well in Kentucky, training at Ellis Park. Trainer Steve Asmussen (leading trainer in North America this year and the trainer of both of Liam’s Map’s stakes winners, Basin and Wicked Whisper, interestingly) reports he’s been working on building up muscle he lost while on the farm. Says the horse is training well and very sound, no leg or other issues. His plan is to get a race or two into him in Louisiana later this fall and hopefully have him sharp and ready for the Oaklawn Park meet that begins in January. Oaklawn has some of the largest purses in the nation at all levels and Steve feels he’ll be a really good fit there and have a shot to earn some serious purse money at that meet.
