General News

Our team is now in Timonium, Maryland evaluating horses for the Fasig-Tipton two year old Sale to be held on Monday and Tuesday May 23-24.  We expect it to be very competitive, as has been the case for the last few years. It will likely be the last chance for those of you who are interested in purchasing a share in a two year old Horse Group this year, as we intend to purchase horses to add to the stable, but only if we can get them at a reasonable price without compromising our standards. Please let us know if you want to be included in receiving additional information about any purchases, as we already have a large priority list and expect any new groups to sell out rapidly.  In addition, all current and former Group Members please keep the morning of Saturday May 28th open as we are planning a get together and a chance to see your horses in person at Monmouth Park.  Details to follow next week.

Horse by Horse News

  • Today we just learned that our Arrogate – Belle Chloe Colt has been approved by the Jockey Club for the name Easy as A.B.C. a clever play on the sire and dam’s first initials.  Thanks to all of the Group 81 members who sent in their suggestions.  See the link to his breeze in company on Monday May 16th below as he is developing nicely.
  • Fire's Finale, Tetragrammaton and U Kant Whip It all had excellent works last week. There is a possible race for Tetragrammaton on Saturday May 28th and we will be looking for races for the other two in the next couple of week as they round into shape after their time on the farm.
  • Warn is training well and we are looking for a race for him in early June, as the race did not go for the 22nd.
  • Life On the Edge is training well and still targeted for a turf race on May 28th at Monmouth Park.
