General News

On the eve of the 2023 Monmouth Park Racing Season there is a lot of good news to report.  We are happy to be holding our first Breakfast and Backside event tomorrow morning at 8 am for many of our current Group Members.  We will see five of our horses out on the track for their morning exercise and then head to Kelly Breen’s Barn on the backside to meet with Kelly and his staff and spoil the horses with some carrots and peppermints.  Anybody who will be attending the races tomorrow is welcome to come watch with us in our Clubhouse Boxes 116 & 118 located on level 2 right on the finish line.

  • Our newest Horse Group 91 with the filly named Red Head Italian is nearly sold out after just a few days.  There is just one available share left and we expect that to be taken before post time tomorrow.  If you want to join the Group, you must respond ASAP before it is SOLD OUT.
  • Boston Princess enjoyed another great ride by jockey Paco Lopez to grab 2nd in Race 3 at Gulfstream Park on Thursday (see chart below).  She provided Group 90 ARC23 with another nice payday after the step up to Allowance company.  Congratulations to trainer Ron Spatz and all Group 90 ARC23 Members and Kenwood Partners.  We look for more good things to come from this young filly in the future.
  • U Kant Whip It had his first timed breeze after arriving at Monmouth Park on Sunday.  He has settled in nicely and we are looking for turf races for him later this spring.

  • Lisa Limon has done it again as she is in foal for the 5th straight time on the 1st cover!  An amazing feat for a Broodmare.   She is now carrying a foal by the hot young sire Practical Joke.  Her Vino Rosso filly and Connect Filly are both well.
  • Wheelingndealing, Without a Net, Red Head Italian and our Palace Malice / Lisa Limon 21 filly have all arrived at Monmouth Park safely and are settling in at Kelly’s Barn.  We will take some pictures tomorrow to send out to Group members.
  • Ellie's a Riot is recovering ahead of schedule at Gulfstream Park with trainer Jenny Young.  Use the link to access a video of her Tuesday, in the round pen, giving a kick and clearly enjoying the surroundings. Jenny reports that she has so much energy recently, which is hopefully a sign she is ready to get back to work!
