  • After what has seemed like a slow month with limited Kenwood Racing entries and runners, we are looking forward to what will hopefully be an action-packed few weeks of Kenwood Racing entries - starting with Life On the Edge’s 4th Place finish last night from Penn National, and followed up by Tetragrammaton today in Race 9, right from Monmouth Park, getting veteran jockey Albin Jimenez in the irons - Good luck to our Active Racing Club, ARC 2022, in today’s race!
  • U Kant Whip It continues to do well in the mornings, and breezed again on Wednesday as we point to his 3yo debut on Monday, July 4th, right at Monmouth Park! Entry is only next Friday, July 1st, so we’ll be sure to keep you updated. Please let us know if you are around that weekend and interested in coming to the races one day, so we can start to plan accordingly for the holiday weekend.
  • Fire's Finale is finally ready for a race after a strong 6-8 weeks of preparation to get back into racing form, and Kelly Breen likes what he has been seeing from our former 2yo PA Bred Champion of 2020 in the mornings. He will be breezing this weekend to continue his fitness, as we look for the first available race that fits his conditions at the local tracks. In an ideal world, we get a PA Bred sprint in one of the Overnights at Parx, but we aren’t going to wait to for that with a horse that is ready to run.  We will keep you posted as soon as we see something come up.
  • ARC 2022’s new claims, Torn Jeans and Catania, are both doing well out of their races are we will be targeting races for both of them within the next couple weeks as well. Both veteran fillies are dual surface winners, both long and short, so we will have plenty of options within the Condition Book and Overnights. Since both horses were claimed during the Monmouth Park meet, they will be running at Monmouth Park the rest of the meet, providing plenty of action for ARC 2022 and the entire Kenwood Racing family!
  • Easy as A.B.C., our 2yo colt by Arrogate, continues to do everything Kelly asks of him so far. He has now had back-to-back breezes from the gate, working towards his gate card, after he breezed 4f this past Wednesday in 48.20, for the fastest time of 13 horses to work that distance on Wednesday.  While the ‘bullet breeze’ certainly doesn’t mean much here, it is interesting to note that ABC worked in company from the gate with another 2yo from Kelly’s barn who ended up with same 48.20 work time. While ABC’s workout was labeled “Breezing” - meaning he did it within himself with no urging from the rider; the other 2yo’s workout was labeled “Handily” - meaning he had constant hand urging from the rider to keep pace. Again, doesn’t mean much at this point, but it is an interesting note, and a sign that Easy as A.B.C. is moving in the right direction.
