  • It was an exciting July 4th for Kenwood Racing, as U Kant Whip It broke his maiden at Monmouth Park in his 3yo debut! There was a large group of Kenwood friends and family there to celebrate the victory, and congratulations to Group 67 members!
  • Kenwood Racing is right back in action today with new ARC 2022 claim, Torn Jeans, running in Race 7 at Monmouth Park, making her Kenwood Racing debut in the turf sprint. She will get Albin Jimenez in the saddle, who won for Kenwood on U Kant Whip it, and will break from post position #3, at 6-1 ML odds. Torn Jeans has won on both turf and dirt, and will run today rain or shine, as we look to keep the momentum going. Good luck to our ARC 2022 group, and please let us know if you plan to be at Monmouth today!
  • Kenwood Racing’s 2020 PA Bred 2yo Champion, Fire's Finale, is entered to run on Tuesday at Parx, in Race 9, a 7 furlong PA Bred Allowance Optional Claiming Event.  Top jockey Paco Lopez is taking the trip over to Parx for the mount, and we are excited to have Fire’s Finale back in the starting gate. Similar to U Kant Whip It’s preparation for his return, we have been patient with getting FF back to the races this Summer, after a winless 3yo campaign that included a Stakes placing right at Parx. Good luck to all Group 56 members, and it’s looking like we should have some of the Kenwood family in attendance at Parx, so please let us know if you’ll be able to join.
  • We are targeting a race July 22nd for Tetragrammaton at Monmouth Park, and ARC 2022’s other new runner, CATANIA, is patiently waiting for a race that fits her conditions! We are hopeful that her versatility as dual surface winner, both long and short, with help give us some options in the upcoming overnights. Remember, new claims at a specific racetrack are in “claiming jail”, meaning they can only runback at the track they were claimed out of; typically for the remainder of that race meet.
  • Our 2yo Arrogate colt, Easy as A.B.C., had another strong workout midweek, clocking in at 47.80 for the 4f work. Kelly Breen had his rider “ask” for a bit more during the workout, and ABC responded well, clocking his fastest 4f breeze.  Kelly is non-committal at this point for a debut race, but there are some upcoming 2yo Maiden Special Weight races that are in play if he can continue to progress the next week or two.  He received his Gate Card last week, so at this point, he is eligible to be entered.

As always, you can checkout our website for upcoming entries, or potential entries, for each horse.  Please let us know if you plan to be at Monmouth Park today for Torn Jeans race (or any day, for that matter), as we always enjoy sharing these moments at the track with the Kenwood Family!  Regardless of your involvement with a specific horse, or even if Kenwood Racing doesn’t have a runner, we’ll do what we can to help provide a VIP experience for everyone!
