  • With Kenwood Racing entries starting to pick up again, we are excited to have U Kant Whip It back in the starting gate this weekend on July 4th, making his 3yo debut in Race 5 at Monmouth Park. He gets Monmouth Park veteran jockey, Joe Bravo in the saddle for his comeback, and U Kant Whip It has been training well and consistently since we got him back to Kelly Breen once Monmouth Park opened in early May.  Good luck to all Group 67 members, and partner Ralph Pastore! Please let us know if you plan to be in attendance on Monday, so we can plan accordingly.
  • Life On the Edge is doing great out of her 4th place finish two weeks ago at Penn National, and is entered right back at Penn on Wednesday night, running in a 1 Mile turf race, with Jockey Anthony Salgado in the irons. Life On The Edge looks to become a winner at ages 2,3,4 and (hopefully) now 5! Good luck to all Group 50 members!
  • Unfortunately a race didn’t go this week for Fire's Finale at Parx, for July 4th, but he continues to do well as we look for the right spot to make his 4yo comeback.  There is a PA Bred Allowance race that he fits in about two weeks at Parx, but we will also continue to monitor the Overnights with the hope of finding a race sooner.
  • One of the new claims for our ARC 2022 group, Torn Jeans, has an upcoming race entry next week for Saturday July 9th, and we’ll keep our fingers crossed that the turf race goes, AND the weather stays dry!
  • We also expect to find a race for our other new ARC 2022 claim, the dual surface winner Catania, in the upcoming Monmouth Park Overnights, to keep the Kenwood Racing entries going.
  • Our new 2yo colt by Arrogate, Easy as A.B.C., had another breeze from the starting gate this week, and earned his Gate Card in the process, while also stretching out to his first 5f workout. An exciting step in any young thoroughbred’s progress in getting to the races, a gate card is required for every unraced horse (regardless of age), and is given by the track Starter who monitors all of these horses in and around the starting gate during these workouts.  Easy As A.B.C. has demonstrated over the course of the last month that he can safely load and stand in a starting gate, while also breaking cleanly and in a straight line. That doesn’t guarantee it will happen every time(!), but it’s a critical step in their training process. No specific target date just yet, but exciting progress to report.

You can always find all our horses latest entry updates right on our website, https://www.kenwoodracing.com/statistics/entries. We hope everyone has a happy, healthy and safe July 4th weekend, and please let us know if you plan to be at Monmouth Park at any point this weekend to join us for live racing!
