Horse by Horse News

Some new very good news as we are looking forward to opening day at Monmouth Park which is just 2 weeks away.

  • For those who missed the live viewing, we are delighted to inform you our Runhappy Colt brought $160,000 at OBS on Wednesday! Please read, “Kenwood Racing’s Runhappy Colt Brings $160k at the OBS spring sale!"
  • A large number of Kenwood Group Members and Partners were able to visit our Arrogate – Belle Chloe Colt, Fire's Finale and U Kant Whip It last Saturday at Overbrook Farm.  Check out the photos here. We were able to see them perform under tack on the training track on a sunny but very windy day.  Special thanks to Scott for arranging such a nice visit.  Also, thanks to Rory Huston for hosting us at the farm.  These three will ship into Monmouth Park in the next few days.
  • Warn did not get a great trip for his Kenwood Racing debut Saturday at Gulfstream Park, in a race that was ultimately pulled off the grass and run on the tapeta course.  He was boxed in along the rail for most of the race, but he showed why we claimed him when in deep stretch when he was finally given some room to run; finishing a fast closing 6th, and just missing 3rd place by a long neck, and 2nd place by just over a length.  He will be shipping up to Monmouth Park next week with Kelly Breen.
  • Tetragrammaton is fine out of his race and may be entered tomorrow for a race on April 29th at Gulfstream Park before being shipped to Monmouth Park.  We will keep you updated as to the developments.
  • No Commission finished 4th in his race on Sunday at Gulfstream Park and was claimed from us in an 8 -way shake.
  • Life On the Edge is doing well training with Mark Salvaggio at Penn National. She had an easy breeze last Saturday to begin prepping for a turf race on May 7th at Penn National.

  • Lisa Limon and her 2 foals are all well at Hidden Brook Farm.  See picture of Lisa Limon and her Vino Rosso foal. She was bred to Connect on Monday April 18th.  Let’s hope all goes well and she will be in foal again this spring.
