General News

The April OBS under tack show began yesterday and will continue through Saturday with over 1200 horses scheduled to breeze. The sale starts Tuesday April 25th and we are looking forward to acquiring one or two new two year olds for the stable.  Our team will be looking for horses that fit our standards for movement, conformation and decent pedigree while keeping spending at a reasonable level.

In addition, we will be watching our Palace Malice - Lisa Limon 21 filly go through the sales ring on Thursday 4/27 as Hip #635.  See comment from consignor Nick de Meric below

“The Lisa Limon filly just prepped here at OBS in :10'47, galloping out in :21'72. It was a good solid work and should put her where we want her coming into the sale. All good so far..”

In addition, three of the horses for from our Group 88 Yearling Pinhook group, Hips 489, 624 and 1133 will go through the ring between Wednesday 4/26 and Friday 4/28.  A fourth horse (Girvin- Italian Rose Colt) will be in the May Fasig - Tipton Sale in Maryland as Hip #276.  More information to follow once the breezes are completed.

  • Boston Princess had a nice work on April 9th and has been entered to run in the 5th race at Gulfstream Park on Thursday April 20.  She will go one mile on the turf with top rider Paco Lopez aboard for trainer Ron Spatz who had trained her previously for another owner.  She has been training well and with a good trip and some racing luck we hope she can bring Kenwood Racing our 250th win.  Good luck to all Group 90 ARC23 Members.
