Horse by Horse News

Some new entry news and Happy Easter and Passover to all as we are looking forward to opening day at Monmouth Park which is just 3 weeks away.

  • Warn is entered for his Kenwood debut in tomorrow’s 1st race at Gulfstream Park going 1 mile on the Turf.  He is the 2/1 favorite in an overflow field of 12.  He has been training very well and we expect him to be very competitive in this spot.  Good luck to all Group 80 Members.  For all Group Kenwood Group Members current and past, please remember to send in your contest entry forms to contest@kenwoodracing.com before noon on Saturday.
  • No Commission is entered on Sunday April 17th in Race 4 at Gulfstream Park going 6 furlongs on the dirt.  Paco Lopez will ride in an 8 horse field where he is currently the 2/1 favorite.  With a good trip we expect him to be able to best this field with a good outcome for his Kenwood debut.  Good luck to all Group 82 Members.  Contest entry will be available for this race on Saturday.  All entries must be submitted by 1:30 pm on Sunday.
  • Poppy’s Boys finished a fast closing second yesterday coming from dead last entering the stretch run and just ran out of real estate as he was gobbling up ground right up to the finish line.  He was claimed from us unexpectedly but improved the ARC22 horse group’s record to 2 wins 1 second and 2 thirds from 6 starts.
  • Tetragrammaton is fine out of his race and we are looking forward to seeing him perform at Monmouth Park this summer.
  • There is still a share left in Group 81 our Arrogate – Belle Chloe Colt. The shares have sold quickly and we expect to close out the group shortly.  For those who are interested in some additional information please visit the current offerings page on our website.
  • We look forward to visiting him as well as Fire’s Finale and U Kant Whip It tomorrow morning at Overbrook Farm in Colts Neck.  We have a large group who will be attending and expect to see them training under tack and we will have some photos and updates for the Group Members who are unable to attend.
  • Life On the Edge is doing well training with Mark Salvaggio at Penn. She is being pointed towards a turf race on May 7th at Penn National.
  • Our Runhappy Colt had a fine breeze going 10.1 over the OBS training track on Tuesday and is doing fine according to consignor Nick de Meric  He is Hip 427 and is scheduled to go through the Sale on Wednesday April 20th.  Will have more details to follow as the sale approaches.
  • Lisa Limon and her 2 foals are all well at Hidden Brook Farm.
