H. Robb Levinsky is Kenwood's founder & Racing Manager. Robb
has assembled a team of expert trainers, bloodstock agents, veterinarians,
and sales consignors to manage our racing operations. Kenwood has
enjoyed particular success employing trainers who work with a limited
number of horses and clients, which allows them to operate in a
very "hands-on" fashion. Our main trainers include Steve
DiMauro (Florida & New Jersey) and Steve "Snapper"
Mick (Pennsylvania). Our trainers all have top reputations and high
lifetime winning percentages, combined with a personal style that
puts their horses and owners first.
Robb’s unique, profit-oriented approach to the thoroughbred
industry is derived from over two decades of experience managing
a diverse group of investments, including stocks, mutual funds and
real estate in addition to racehorses. Kenwood Racing, founded by
Robb in 1998, has one of the highest winning percentages in North
America. Kenwood is known for winning stake races at huge odds with
horses purchased for very modest prices; including the California
Derby with Prime Meridian at odds of 16 to 1, the $100,000 Golden
Poppy Handicap with Puerto Plata at odds of 11 to 1, the Without
Feathers Stakes with Exchanging Fire at odds of 29 to 1, and the
Charles Hesse Handicap with Hermosillo at odds of 35 to 1
A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Boston University and an elected
public official at age 23 (Newton, Ma. City Council - 1981), Robb
was listed in the 1983 publication of 'Outstanding Young Men of
America'. A prolific writer and public speaker, his column "Investing
In Thoroughbreds" appeared for many years in Racing Northeast
Magazine. Robb’s involvement with thoroughbreds began as a
teenager, working on the backstretch at Suffolk Downs near Boston,
Mass. In 1980 at age 22, he founded his first thoroughbred venture,
Kenwood Farm. Six years later, the company managed over 7 million
dollars of thoroughbred horses and real estate, receiving extensive
recognition by local and national media and a T.O.B.A. award as
the leading thoroughbred breeder in the New England region.

"Horses like Hermosillo, Original Sin, Not So Sure
and Exchanging Fire make my
job fun. Owners like Kenwood Racing make it fulfilling."

Kenwood's founder H. Robb Levinsky pauses for a photo between
morning workouts.
"As the founder and chairman of Kenwood Racing LLC, Robb
Levinsky has a singular idea of what he wants his horses to do:
make money for his employees, his investors and himself. Levinsky
has been trying to make money in horse racing - and succeeding more
often than not - since his teenage years in his hometown of Newton,
Mass. "We are in business to make money," Levinsky said.
"This is a business everybody assumes you can't make money
at. It is easier to make money in stocks and real estate; it's harder
in horse racing, but that's what makes it fun and challenging."
